Welcome! We are the UT Dallas chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society for Economics.

Our impact on modern economics: we strive to develop interdisciplinary economic minds who actively question otherwise accepted economic theory through the pursuit of student research and participation in regular debates, lectures, readings and discussions.

In all of our activities, we pursue “scholastic gravitas” in an effort to do our part to help UT Dallas reach Tier 1 status as a top research university in the state of Texas.

With this goal in mind, our mission is the following:

We are committed to providing an open discussion forum in order to encourage spirited economic debate among developing interdisciplinary minds.

We will seek to encourage student research by providing informational workshops and collaboration outlets, and by participating in external research events and opportunities provided by the community.

We will strive to develop inquiring economic minds by focusing on four areas of importance:

• academic achievement;
• professional development;
• social networking; and
• community involvement.
