The following are the membership eligibility and attendance requirements as well as member dues and fees.
Eligibility
To be eligible, undergraduate students must have
- a “B” (3.0) or better average overall and in your economics courses
- at least 12 credit hours of economics classes.
Graduate students are eligible
- after one semester of full-time work
- with a “B” (3.0) or better average.
Requirements
Each semester, all members must attend at least
- 3 discussions (out of 9)
- 1 general information meeting (out of 4)
- 1 social (out of 2)
- 1 formal debate (out of 2)
- 1 Research Spotlight/Workshop (out of 1)
Dues and fees
Initial semester
- $55 which includes the $32 life-time membership to Omicron Delta Epsilon (which comes with 2 issues of their academic journal), and $10 for your graduation cords (blue and gold). The remaining $13 will go to the organization for website maintenance, socials, events, etc.
Each following semester
- $25 in order to participate in group activities, all of which goes to cover the organizational expenses mentioned above.
